The Brazilian Wax

What is a Brazilian Wax?

The Brazilian wax is an extreme bikini waxing treatment that removes hair from the entire pubic region – apart from a small patch just above the vaginal area, commonly dubbed the ‘landing strip’. This is a very intimate type of waxing and will only be performed after careful consultation. How closely you trim, shave or wax your pubic hair is a personal preference. You should do whatever makes you comfortable, whether it’s a bare look or a more natural look. We will assist you personally whether you’re doing this for the first time or you are a seasoned Brazilian.

How long does the results last?

After your first waxing, the results can last 4 to 6 weeks depending on your hair re-growth rate and season. The hotter seasons tend to encourage faster re-growth rates compared to the colder seasons, therefore your hair grows quicker during summer. In most cases, you will see minimal hair re-growth during the first 3 weeks, with noticeable increases there onwards. Continued waxing encourages sparse hair re-growth.

What is involved in a Brazilian?

The wax used for this procedure is a premium grade Australian made, strip and no-strip warm wax(extra cost). It is applied to the hairs to be removed which “shrink-wraps” around the hairs, and is pulled off after it dries. The wax is specifically designed for sensitive skin, so it’s great for bikini/Brazilian waxing. While waxing, it’s best to pull the skin tight, so you may be asked to help stabilise an area with your hand, especially when towards the middle of the labia where there’s no firm bone or muscle underneath. We’ll do as much as possible, then you’ll lie on one side, draped with the towel, and we’ll wax in the gluteal crease, if necessary. For an additional cost, we can also wax the bottom and crack region, as this is not included with your Brazilian wax. After the hairs are removed, a first-aid solution containing essential oil is applied to help soothe the area.

Does it hurt?

That would depend on 2 factors. a) strong hair and b) sensitive skin. In most cases, we’ll do it so quickly you don’t have the time to feel anything 🙂 Some women don’t even know we’ve started. We find that most turn out pleasantly surprise to discover that it is not a big deal after all. Our use of premium grade Australian made strip or warm wax helps reduce the sensitivity on your skin.

Does Beauty Grace do mens’ Brazilian?

  1. Beauty Grace has a strict 100% NO re-dip policy for ALL our waxing treatments, complying with NSW health regulations. All waxing spatulas are disposable and NEVER re-dipped. Ask your current waxer if they re-dip!
  2. We cleanse and dis-infect the area prior to waxing.

  4. At the conclusion, we then apply a soothing cream to help reduce stress on your skin.
  5. Lastly, we offer a 100% satisfaction promise.

What is wrong with re-dipping anyway?

Re-dipping is the act of re-using the used waxing spatula. This spatula is usually made of steel (most common) or wood. By re-dipping the spatula, this saves time and resources, thus cutting costs. However, this act introduces bacteria, germs and even human blood into the wax pot. This same wax pot is then used by hundreds of clients, breeding a cocktail of bacteria and germs, waiting to be transferred to the next client! Beauty Grace has a strict NO re-dipping policy, where all our waxing spatulas are disposable and never re-dipped into the wax pot.

Do we offer the cheapest Brazilian wax in Sydney CBD?

Is this the best Brazilian wax in Sydney CBD?

Well, we don’t know for sure if it is “the very best” Brazilian wax in town (as there isn’t such competition to determine) 🙂 But we certainly like to think so, based on our high return rates and feedback. We simply let our happy clients tell us.

And… they also tell us when they’re not.

But… specifically for the boys :-)

Specially crafted for the boys.

What is a male brazilian (or mens’ Brazilian wax)?

The complete removal of all pubic hair in the genital area, excluding the rear area.

Does it hurt?

C’mon boys. Talk about stirring a storm in a teacup! :-)

Everybody will experience Brazilian waxing somewhat differently because we all have different pain tolerance levels. Most guys will say “Wow, that wasn’t as bad as I first thought!”. Relax.

What if I get an erection?

Our therapists are professional. They’re only there to perform your Brazilian wax, nothing else. During the procedure, the therapist will apply tension by pulling the skin tight in the area that is being worked on, so that they can get ready to apply the necessary pulling force onto the wax strips. YOU WANT a tight skin, otherwise – it’ll hurt more. That’s why you need a professional to have your Brazilian wax done.

Must I shave first?

No. We need at least 5mm of hair, for the wax to grab onto. On average, it is a 3 week growth.

Does the hair grow back?

Yes.

So how often will I need to wax?

Depends. There are many factors. Hair tends to grow faster during the warmer seasons for a start. Then every bloke is different. Ideally, you’d want to aim for 4-5 weeks because the hair during this time is still new and soft. Hair roots hardens the longer you leave it after a wax.

What if I have some sunburn/heat rash?

First of all, wow! Secondly, you’ll need to wait. Your skin is fragile. Skin (anywhere!) shouldn’t be burnt. It is a form of trauma. So doing a Brazilian is the last thing you should be thinking of.

What if I’ve had a few drinks the night before?

Like everything in the world, it depends. The fact remains, alcohol increases the sensitivity of your skin, so you’ll need to extra “man-up” if you decide to excessively drink the night before.

The finishing touch….

After the wax, we apply a professional post-wax oil to help loosen any residue wax from your skin. We would then remove all traces of wax and oil with a fresh and clean wipes. Finally, we apply a professional moisturising cream, to help reduce surface bacteria, add moisture to fresh skin, leaving a pleasant lavender and chamomile smell.
