ELOS skin rejuvenation
ELOS technology provides skin rejuvenation for all skin and hair types. Compared to earlier IPL technology, there is less blistering, scabbing, crusting and hyper or hypopigmentation, reduced redness and inflammation and less pain. The technology treats superficial benign vascular and pigmented lesions including Telangiectasias, Rosacea, Poikiloderma and Angioma for true skin rejuvenation.

Why is ELOS technology more effective than standard IPL?
By emitting the optical pulse and electric pulse at the same time, the net effect is to force the electric energy to stream preferentially to the regions of the dermis pre-heated by the absorbed light, producing a greater and more focused thermal effect than a single pulse of high energy light. With less intense light energy there are less burning risks and the synergistic coupling of energies means that each pulse can be delivered for a longer period of time than standard IPL – yielding improved results.

How does the ELOS technology rejuvenate the skin?
The gentle light and electric energies break up the pigment and blood in lesions and stimulates collagen restructuring and production, thus restoring skin to a more youthful state. Brown spots (pigmented imperfections) from sun damage and aging, red blotchiness from spider vessels or rosacea (vascular imperfections) and rough skin texture will improve over a series of treatments.
What kind of results can be expected from an ELOS skin rejuvenation treatment?
Each ELOS Skin Rejuvenation treatment will result in gradual lightening and improvement of pigmented and vascular imperfections. Textural improvements are appreciated towards the end of the treatment series. Here are some of the changes that can be expected:
- With a series of five treatments people with ruddy complexions should see an improvement some-where between 60 and 70%
- Broken capillaries should resolve about 75%
- Sunspots, brown spots and freckles will improve anywhere from 80 to 90%
- Fine wrinkles around the eyes and mouth area improve around 40 to 60%
- Deeper wrinkles will improve anywhere from 20 to 40%
How frequently do ELOS skin rejuvenation treatments need to be performed?
Treatments are repeated every 2-4 weeks for an average of five treatments.
How does the ELOS Skin Rejuvenation treatment feel?
The sensation is often described as a 'hot pinch' or 'snapping' feeling. The sensation only lasts for a fraction of a second and warmth and/or a tingling sensation is experienced for a short time afterward. Most people tolerate treatment without any topical anaesthetic, but individuals who are more sensitive may prefer to have skin numbed before treatment.
What happens after each ELOS Skin Rejuvenation treatment?
Temporary pinkness in the skin lasts a very short time, and most people return to work or normal activities immediately after treatment. The improvement in pigmented and vascular irregularities can often be appreciated before the next treatment a month later. Brown spots temporarily go darker before they lighten.
