Do not get fooled by recent mass advertising for the $29 bikini laser hair removal. It is priced at $29 for a reason. Beauty Grace has found via many clients who come to us, after these "too-good-to-be-true" deals, that they suffered burns due to; a) inferior equipment and b) operated by entry-level junior staff, with little to no consultation.

Beauty Grace only utilises proven technology (both FDA and TGA approved), consulted and operated by senior beauty therapists, whom are experienced, qualified, highly trained and certified by the technology provider.

So naturally, we were (and still are!) very concerned.

Remember, in the wrong hands, these treatments can leave you with life-time scars! So be sure, that you have qualified and experienced operators only (like us!) when having these treatments.

Long term hair reduction (often known as permanent laser hair removal) with ELOS

ELOS's claim to fame is that it has proven to be able to provide long term hair reduction (which often gets misunderstood as "permanent hair removal") for all skin and hair types. Traditional IPL technologies was only limited to certain candidates. So if you were previously turned away, or your laser hair removal treatments in the past did not yield satisfactory results, then we can certainly help you.

Perception...

The perception with the general public today is that the term "permanent laser hair removal" implies exactly so. How far from the truth this is. There is nothing available today in the market anywhere that can permanently (implying forever) remove all hairs from an area. The more accurate term for such a treatment is "long term hair reduction". Hair is dramatically reduced over a course of treatments on a long term basis, but certainly not permanently. How does it work?

Gentle light and electric energies combine to intentionally damage the hair follicle. This disables the follicle from growing hair, which means that gradually over several treatments, there is a long-term reduction in the amount of hair in that area.

What kind of results can be expected?

Each treatment will result in less hair coming back, as well as hair growing progressively lighter in colour, becoming finer and also slowing regrowth. It takes more than one treatment to affect all the follicles growing in an area. Most people achieve satisfactory clearance after 6-10 treatments, however, individual results vary depending on medical and genetic factors. Lighter coloured hair will also require more treatments compared to darker coloured hair.

How frequently?

Most people achieve satisfactory clearance after 6-10 treatments, which are usually performed every month. This depends on individual factors which will be discussed by our consultants during consultation.

How does it all feel?

The sensation is often described as a 'hot pinch' or 'snapping' feeling. The sensation only lasts for a fraction of a second and warmth and/or a tingling sensation is experienced for a short time afterward. The ELOS system also has a built in cooler at the head (point of contact) which will significantly increase comfort levels during the procedure.

What happens after?

Temporary pinkness in the skin lasts a very short time and most people return to work or normal activities immediately after treatment. The treated area will 'shed' some hairs over the next 3-4 weeks and there may be a short period of irregular hairlessness in the area until the conclusion of the course.

Who is suitable?

ELOS will suit anybody seeking a long-term solution to shaving, waxing, plucking or electrolysis. There are a few medical conditions that contra-indicate people from treatment that the practitioner will discuss during consultation.
